About Kris
Kris has a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science Livestock Management and Equine Sciences. She also is a certified Equine
Massage therapist. Kris has been involved in horses her whole life, starting her first horse (Jace) at age 12 which she enjoys
jumping, english and roping with. She showed competatively in barrel racing and team penning along with english and western
pleasure in highschool. She also showed for the college Intercollegiate Horse Show team competing in open reining, western
and english horsemanship and jumping.
For her internship she worked closely with a trainer in Corvallis, Montana where she enhanced her horsemanship skills
with a remarkable man who had trained horses his entire life. He was an integral part in forming new views and respect for
working with both horses and their riders. His knowledge, patience and respect for even extremely troubled horses are qualities
Kris tries to strive for daily. She also keeps close to heart what her father would tell her when she would become frustrated
with working horses when she was young- that the horse knew how to do everything that we ask we just need to learn how to
ask in a way that they can understand.
Kris enjoys volunteering for the Eagle Mount Horse program, donating to United Way, and giving demonstrations to local
4-H programs.
